Stacey Herald who is 2 feet 4 inches tall has a rare genetic disorder Osteogenesis Imperfecta that causes underdeveloped lungs and brittle bones. She was a devoted mother who left her husband Wil, her son Malachi, her daughters Makaya and Kateri, and the relatives of Malachi who all are residing in Kentucky’s home.
The physicians warned Stacey Herald not to become pregnant. The reason was the baby will grow large and it may choke her heart and lungs. But she didn’t listened to the physician and she gave birth. She is the mother of three children who gaved the birth to three babies in three years when the physician was against it. The family wanted to prevent the disorder Osteogenesis Imperfecta but her two kids Malachi and Kateri inherited it.
When Was Malachi Born?
On November 2010 her youngest child Malachi was born via Caesaraen section eight weeks early from the due date. His weight was 2 lbs 10 oz. She was having 34 stitches after the treatment after which she said he is the perfect boy I have ever seen and I wanted to be on his side.
She also said that people like us who are suffering from Osteogenesis Imperfecta has broken limbs and legs because the birth of a child can break our brittle bones. But when Malachi was born he was not having any broken bones. As they all are special kids so I made it clear that my daughters must keep an eye on Malachi until he doesn’t get older.
Stacey Herald concluded that it was hard to accept and challenging that Malachi had my disease. We were confident that we can give him finest treatment as Kateri was there with me.
When Stacey Met Her Husband?
Stacey participated as an active leader while she was on wheel chair in taking care of the children along with her husband Wil. She met her husband in 2000 when she was working in a supertown and Stacey married him in 2004. While bathing the children and nursing Malachi she changed their diapers on a designed pedestal while using her wheelchair.
It was getting difficult for Stacey to took care of children so Wil’s father who is 5 ft 9 inches tall started taking care of them at night. At the birth of her third child Stacey said that anything she can’t do her husband can. She also said that Wil wakes up at night and he changes the diapers and feeds the girls. The difficulties Stacey faced and she puts herself in risk while giving birth. Because of this she claims herself as a wonder and she thinks that her children will also be a miracle.
